Very helpful to talk to SW Railway Management Team this morning about Chessington FC and Surbiton Station redevelopment and capacity ..
On Chessington FC I explained that we are looking for funding to convert the pitch to astroturf after the removal of foliage from the embankment has left our pitch under water for an entire season - and 200 children with no where to play. We have a meeting coming up with SW London Regional Development Manager for SW London and we are hoping to make the case for support from the community investment fund.
On Surbiton Station I made the case for our much loved and admired Surbiton Station Artdeco elevation, the car parking requirement and also against a 17 storey redevelopment plan that would impact the character and light of Surbiton Victoria Rd.
We also discussed the network demand and capacity.
